Hi, I’m Katy! I’m 26 and I live in Oklahoma City. I love books and come from a family of readers. This is a blog to talk about my book feelings. For now, most of the books I review will be ones I bought or borrowed and decided I wanted to talk about. Some of my reviews will be more in-depth, while some might be rants or feelings, and they’ll vary in format and length.

Aside from reading, I enjoy the usual television, music, and movies. I waste a lot of time on tumblr. My current TV obsessions are ASOIAF/Game of Thrones, Teen Wolf, and Brooklyn 99. Current music loves are Arctic Monkeys, MS MR and Bastille.

>> If you’re wondering about the blog name, it comes from Tess of the d’Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy. (I’m thinking of changing it at some point.) It is sort of a sad but lovely outlook on things, and sad but lovely things always tend to linger with me:

“Did you say the stars were worlds, Tess?”
”All like ours?”
”I don’t know; but I think so. They sometimes seem to be like the apples on our stubbard-tree. Most of them splendid and sound—a few blighted.”
“Which do we live on—a splendid one or a blighted one?”
“A blighted one.”

-a conversation between Tess and her brother. I have a post about Tess here! It’s a classic and it’s a free for download from Gutenberg!

I am very appreciative of any award you might want to award me but due to growing business with real life and my difficulty with finishing actual book posts and commenting on blogs I follow, I’m no longer accepting. I would rather it go to someone willing to put the time into giving it to other people and spreading the happiness!
